21st year of the Traditional Christmas Fair 2024 Poprad

The city of Poprad is excited to announce the return of its 21st Advent market, set to take place on Štefánikova Street, conveniently situated near the cultural center.

This festive event promises to be a magical Christmas experience for visitors of all ages.

December marks the start of Christmas events in Poprad. On Sunday, December 1st, there will be a morning fairy tale for children. This interactive puppet show tells the story of an elf who wishes to receive gifts.

Children will learn how to find presents under the tree on Christmas Eve in the show by the Theater Pod Balkónom from Banská Bystrica. The show will also highlight some Christmas customs and traditions.

In the evening, Advent tower concerts will begin. The first Advent light will shine from the Church of St. Aegidius, lit by the Tatramat wind music ensemble from Matejoviece. Poprad residents can enjoy Christmas music with a light snack, as the Christmas town by the fountain will have ten stalls.

These will offer drinks such as punch, mulled wine, tea, and hot chocolate, as well as food like bread and butter and hot dogs. For this final month of the year, Poprad has organized 35 Christmas programs, concerts, and events.
