DIY New Year’s card with sparklers
Gift your loved ones with an original New Year’s card that hides the necessary equipment for New Year’s Eve—make them a funny card with sparklers!
Its production will take only a few minutes, and you will reap maximum success.
What you will need:
- gray cardboard kraft paper
- golden cardboard kraft paper
- silver marker (buy at Creative Supplies)
- self-adhesive stars (buy at creative supplies)
- scissors
- sparklers
- paper glue
Method:
- Cut out a narrow strip of gray paper.
- Glue a strip of gold paper to the bottom half.
- Stick a star on the golden strip and write a wish.
- Cut a hole above and below the bottom edge of the gold strip with scissors.
- Thread the sparklers through the opening to stick out at the top and bottom.
- Stick more stars, and you’re done.

New Year’s chocolate cupcakes

Don’t be afraid to decorate everyone differently; your guests will appreciate your imagination.
What you will need:
- 1 cup semi-coarse flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup of Dutch cocoa
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil or softened butter
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla
- 1/2 cup hot water
Method:
- Preheat the oven to 356 °F.
- Mix the loose ingredients in a bowl, i.e., flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In the second bowl, mix the liquid ingredients, i.e., eggs, buttermilk, oil, and vanilla, and beat until foamy.
- Mix the contents of both bowls to form a smooth dough.
- Finally, add hot water and mix well.
- Place the paper cups in the muffin tin and fill them with the batter only ¾ of the way up.
- Bake for about 20 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely.
- Decorate with sugar icing (like gingerbread) or one of the delicious sweet icings. Combine with cream decoration – choose from our cream recipes.
